We set goals, dream of ideal lifestyles, set intentions, and make plans – all of which is good, yet it keeps our thinking focused on the future. And when we spend too much time in the future, we may start to feel anxious.
But the future isn’t here yet. And it isn’t guaranteed.
So why do we put so much focus on something that doesn’t exist? Why do we spend our precious time and energy feeling anxious about the nonexistent future?
The only place in space and time that truly exists is the here and now – the present moment.
