Remember how your mother used to teach you, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”? The same can be said for thinking.
Why harbor negative thoughts? self-deprecating thoughts? anxious, mean, or fearful thoughts? Those types of thoughts prevent us from being healthy and joyful.
Therefore, if your thoughts aren’t aligned with what’s truly important to you, let those thoughts drift away and start thinking better thoughts.
And if you can’t think of something better, just don’t think at all. Your brain and body will thank you.
