Life is for those who persevere. And perseverance takes strength.

But strength isn’t just about getting beat up by other people and continuing onward.

It’s also about working hard so that we stop getting beat up.

We like to think that we’re strong because we can receive insults and take on stress.

But we’d exhibit more strength if we worked to resolve the issue and address the problem head on, not just take what comes at us.

Truly strong people create their own circumstances and work with things they can’t control. And they never hold anyone else accountable for their personal happiness.

No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path. – Buddha

It’s easy to blame other people for our misfortune. It’s easy to give up and let ourselves get beat up by the world, then just lie there hoping for other’s pity.

Easy is for the weak.

Strength is developed through hard work and taking ownership over personal happiness.

Strong people don’t need big muscles, lots of money, lots of friends, a management position, or all four limbs.

Truly strong people take a leadership role in their own lives. They take care of themselves, define who they are, and pursue their own happiness.

There is little that can withstand a man who can conquer himself. – Louis XIV
