Earlier this morning, I SnapChatted a friend that I wanted a doughnut. I usually do not crave doughnuts; but for some reason, it sounded so good at the time.
My friend responded with a SnapChat of a chocolate smoothie she just made. She said she also wanted a doughnut, but made the smoothie instead. That was all I needed to get the visions of sugarplums out of my head.
I decided to make a chocolate smoothie, too. Mine came out a little too frothy, probably because I added too much ice. However, the taste is perfect. It is definitely a dessert smoothie, so it is relatively high in fat calories; however, it provides better nutrition and less digestive issues than a doughnut or other chocolatey treat.
So, whenever you feel a craving and would rather not give in, use this recipe to create a treat and be your own best friend.
