Life isn’t about surviving or extending the number of years we can live. No matter how long our lives or how resilient we are, death is still our fate.
But it doesn’t make sense for life to be about suffering either. Experiencing and working through suffering, sure, but not merely for suffering’s sake.
There’s gotta be something else that makes sense. Something that seems unlikely because it’s almost too easy or obvious. And maybe not as dramatic or ego-satisfying like suffering.
Life has got to be about love. And it’s got to be about pure enjoyment. About laughter and friendship and beauty and dreaming. Compassion, acceptance, empathy, and joy.
Life is more than survival. Life is love in physical form.
